| I'm about at wits end with one group of cows I have. Here is my scenario:
2 groups of cows in separate pastures both rotational grazed
Began clipping excess growth/seed heads about 3 weeks ago
Start noticing wet eyes in calves about 2 weeks ago treated eyes specifically and gave pinkeye shot to calves
Cows received a pinkeye shot last winter
Free choice Kent mineral with CTC and added antibiotic and salt
No fly tags yet....
Calves really now starting to break with bad eyes this weekend along with a couple of cows. Plan to treat tomorrow morning shots and patches.
My question is why am I dealing with this so much in the one herd? Ran into similar issues last year but fenceline neighbor broke first with pinkeye. Should I add or remove something in this list to try to reduce my issues? | |
