SE Nebraska | Treat with draxxin. Expensive but will knock the pinkeye in the animals out right away.
For future prevention, get yourself the 3 compartment mineral feeders and the Fly Killer Cover.

We quit using fly tags, didnt feel like they were worth a dam. Going to quit using yearly pinkeye shots too because the fly killer cover works so well. I dont see a single fly on the cows or calves face.
We mount the mineral feeder to a semi tire and keep it full of mineral. Have been using these covers 3 years now and have 5 of them on 5 different pastures. Clarifly in the mineral and mist spray the cattle once in awhile for stable flies. The mineral cover takes care of the face flies. Don't know how well the covers will hold up over time, we only use them in the summer though and store them in a shed during off season.
