Personally I would rotate some ground around so you have enough hay but can row crop this patch for a few years and get it cleaned up.
Gets my vote. Put it in corn and use stinger to get the thistle under control, then beans, then wheat and reseed for hay. RR alfalfa would be a good option if you can sell straight alfalfa. Shouldn't be too hard in this county in small bales
