SW Ohio | Finally got to make some hay, six year old orchardgrass and alfalfa field, badly infested with canadian thistle and curly dock. thistles in a few large areas choking out everything else and a scattering all across the rest of the field. I think my two best options are, one kill it and plant beans, not my first choice as I need the hay acres, or second, kill the broadleaves and have grass to bale. What can I spray that will still let me bale hay the rest of the year?
In the past have killed off all the grass in a field, (johnson grass and fescue being the undesirables) leaving the alfalfa, and reseeded orchard back in the next year successfully, so how do I do the opposite? | |
