Allis' are cheap and I grew up on them and they still hold a sweet spot in my heart, but if you are buying one they are not fuel efficient at all. If you already own one then run what you have. That's my favorite series of tractors ever, but they drink fuel more than anything else I've ever run. You mentioned fuel coat and that's the first thing I thought of.
