Subject: First Time Getting an Operating Note

West Central Missouri
The plan is to be running a 150 hp tractor and 15-25 ft no till drill. Not sure how many acres or what crops yet. I’m interested in how to correctly budget on a per hour basis of running in the field time? What have you learned that you should or shouldn’t account for? With fuel prices the way they are now I can’t imagine I’ll be running many acres this fall at least. Seems to be a little interest in the area for a guy to plant cover crops for others as well as wheat. I’d like to have a little wheat of my own as well. I’ll have an AC 7045 and probably a Great Plains drill of some kind. I know there are sheets out out by universities on this topic but I’m also interested in things learned from experience. Thanks!
