Agree with this. I don't know it it's true but heard sweet clover roots are equal to it's above ground height. There are all sorts of situations, but the more I graze and the less I hay the more forage I raise. Part of it not hauling off nutrients, but I have half a dozen kinds of legumes growing in fields that are largely grazed and occasionally grazed. None were planted.
