But these aren't midwest dairies. they don't grow enough corn it MUST be trained in. Our just-in-time supply chain is nonexistent not just broken. Cheap corn and illegal labor were the reasons these dairies were always so successful. Now each of those things is gone and the tide is pulling out. I think the same can be said for big feedlots and dairies in the southwest. The next big issue is the cost of energy to irrigate a crop in a desert or cool cows in those conditions. THis is gonna be the summer which shows the music has stopped and it's time to pay the piper.

Not having enough feed is only one of the big issues. and may not even be the top one by the year's end.
