| I was talking with a coworker about this and we came to similar conclusions. At face value it makes no sense in how we would normally apply automotive insurance (assuming it is the auto insurance at play here). However, it depends on the verbiage of the auto policy. If it is vague enough to say something as simple as, "injuries incurred while inside the vehicle" then something like this could and perhaps should be covered. At a common sense level it makes no sense, but since when has insurance ever been common sense?
