| Is there a way to hook up desktop cd drive to the internal 50 pin port of a laptop cd drive bay? The reason I would like to try this is I think the laptop cd drive is bad and would like to see if the laptop still will boot a cd or if there is something else wrong with the laptop. I see you can buy an adapter to try the laptop cd out in a desktop connection, but was wondering if there was a way to reverse the situation. The laptop keeps rebooting and the bios doesn't support a usb cd drive and there is no floppy drive. It will support a usb floppy drive, but I don't have one. Don't want to spend money on it because I think it is dead, but would like to make sure first. | |
