canada | I have a Allis 7020 that just started smoking worse than usual, takes a long time to spin up to rpm with any load at all (spray air sprayer) and is drinking fuel, I mean drinking. I looked for a leak cause it used over 1/2 tank to spray 80 acres (3 hours).
I changed air and fuel filters, no change. I pulled the rubber hose off the turbo and it spins freely but has movement up and down. It doesnt rattle but what clearance is allowable?
I will hook up a pressure guage tomorrow but what boost should it be making?
These old tractors arent worth much so its a toss up to repair or replace if its over a couple grand.
