Something to bear in mind when using these is it is advisable to eject the device from the menus especially if you have important stuff on there.
Most times you can just pull it out and all is well but Windows can for example be doing some kind of indexing - this is where errors creep in if you just yank it out.
So close the location in explorer, and any other program might be accessing it.
