southern MN | Often that means the thumb drive is getting tired, some of the basic index info is getting hard to read.
You need to copy your info to a computer, or another thumb drive. You might be running short on time to do this.
Formatting the thumb drive will erase all info. It will re write the index and other info, it may block out some bad areas it finds on the drive, and you can try using it again. However, be careful trusting it, it just might be weak and not able to store data any more. Reliably.
