The above link should help explain it some. I use a feed reader called "Sage" that is a plug in for Firefox. The new version of Internet Explorer that was recently released has a built in feed-reader as well.
I use it for news sites or any site that gets updated frequently with new content that I want to easily scan over. For example, cnn.com has a rss feed coming from http://rss.cnn.com/rss/cnn_latest.rss. If you plug this address into your feed reader, you'll get a list of the articles posted on cnn's site, and you can click on one of the feeds to jump directly to that article. | |
