Subject: canola harvesting/pushing

Our first year to push canola and the plant is 3' which when pushed it is touching the ground. Will lift quards, flex head, or will the crop lift as the tangled plant enters the auger on a rigid head be our best method of getting the pods. We thought the plant would rise after a few days but 10% sprung back within minutes and now 90% of our crop is barely off the ground. We had drought conditions early and limited the height but rains later have produced 1500-2500# of canola. An April freeze knocked approximately 500# production at blooming. Anybody got an idea or experience with this. Please respond. Thanx
