I've had exactly the same problem this year, i'm running about 10-20% too high, and I even put on a slower sprocket to drop my population. My only theory is maybe the seed counts aren't really accurate, as my seed seems to have quite a bit of variability in it. Same thing last year, the math said I planted 210,000, but my final stand was 150-160 with pretty even spacing....
