Mount Vernon, WA | When you say you put a "cooler" thermostat in it, where did you get it? Did it have the little blocker valve hanging off the bottom of it? If not, get the correct thermostats in there! It will overheat with anything but the correct t-stats. Even if you ran without, it will overheat because coolant will bypass the radiator.
Also, is it really getting hot, or does the gauge simply say that it is? Check with a known accurate gauge before jumping to conclusions. | |
