Scottville, 49454 Northwest Michigan | the timing gear on the crankshaft spun on ours and threw the injection timing off so it smoked real bad and ran like crap for along time. the n.h. dealership manager kept saying they all smoke bad on start up. finally got them to come check it out and they found the timing was off so they took it to their shop and replaced the crankshaft and timing gear. started smoking real bad again after a week or two so then they took it back and replaced the entire engine block, crank and everything. fortunately it was still under warranty. from what they told me this problem is very rare but has been an issue. i've seen the same thing happen on some of the newer international 466 engines but just those two. other than all that it's been a good tractor though. we use ours to plow snow in the winter and push up silage in the summer and do field work in the spring.
