First off, the entire PTO unit has to come off to replace those seals.
Secondly, the dying problem could be a)bad shutoff solenoid b)bad cab relay c)bad positive terminal at the cab floor d) bad battery cable connection. First thing I'd check is the positive terminal coming through the floor under the fusebox.
