Subject: Re: Synthetic oil in older engines

High Springs, Florida
I switched to Amsoil in a JD 2520 diesel tractor. I used an Amsoil filter, but it did not have a bypass valve in it. The filter plugged and I lost oil pressure. Put on a new JD filter an problem solved. I went back to dino oil after just one change on the syn oil.

I run syn in everything else, including my Duramax.
