Woodham, Ontario | This week we are trying to get all our corn in. We have waited very patiently for nice weather and it came. The soil is finally suitable to plant in.
We had some headlands that were frozen solid when I was finishing plowing by new years. Spring plowing rarely works well around here so we just left it. Now that the soil was nice and dry we ran the aerway very agressive, but shallow to losen the top. Then the field cultivator had no problem making a nice seedbed. This was on corn silage stubble.
