Soutwest Ks. | I have found in windy SW KS that to add the talc/graphite mixture can be very difficult on a windy day. This last year I took a pair of my wife's panty hose and pulled over my face before I started mixing the graphite. Actually worked quite well, I could see OK without eye slits and it sure helped to keep the grit off my face. I also believe that the talc/graphite needs to be mixed and I either use a very small shovel to turn and mix the corn or I have a cordless drill auger that was made especially for this purpose. It has steeper and bigger flighting than augers that are made for tree feeding. | |
