Makes you wonder. About 10 years ago I was rebuilding an older Case SP swather, I needed a ball stud for the knife drive and was at an area case dealer who was also a Hesston shortline dealer. The place was owned / run by a couple of retirement age brothers who had been in the business most of their lives. In the Case book, that little ball stud was $50. The two dealer brothers knew that Hesston actually built that swather with Case only suppling the Case color and logo. They knew which Hesston model was the same, so a quick look in the Hesston book found that part priced at $25. They sold me a Hesston part :-) Case put a Hesston part in a Case box and doubled the price. ;-)
