These valves use what the "professionals" call "BOSS" o-rings. I quess they are a harder o-ring. An assortment set can be purchased for under 30 bucks. If someone put in regular ones, likely they will fail sooner than the "Boss" ones. What flow rates are you running? I have heard of an experience of a brand new planter blowing an o-ring the first day out.
