Culbertson, MT | I will make the assumption that soybeans are much the same as field peas. We either roll them as soon as the field is seeded, or else after they are up. My fear in waiting a few days to roll is that the roller may shift enough soil to shear the cotyledons from the new plant, killing it. Since I'm almost always running behind, my peas get rolled after they are up. If you wait for a warm day, the plants will be a bit wilted and take the rolling with little effect.
