Subject: RE: 1530 deere drills on a houk hitch

Farmland, IN
It's certainly not as good as a radial bean meter, but I'm more concerned with depth control in soybeans than I am with spacing. Probably pretty similar to an old 750 or a 1560 drill on spacing. One thing we did do is install a LOUP population monitor on ours. It includes four row sensors to install on the seed tubes, and is very accurate on the population, makes for a lot less guesswork. Also counts acres and gives speed.

Seems like I saw two 30' outfits, one for $55k and one for $42k.
