Iowa | Has the tractor been in for a service inspection lately? Common problems include rear axle brgs out of spec, leaking head gasket, cracked/leaking fuel tank(deere had a program to fix this back when they were new), bad front casting where front end pivots if not greased enough. Been a long time since I had one, I am prob forgetting stuff. The grinding when shifting bothers me, if the previous owner shifted between ranges when moving a lot.
All in all a really nice big 'ol tractor. | |
