nw pa | to us it's a given ,when corn gets that dry you better start harvesting... Have all winter to get it dry but only a short time to get it out of the field. weather here can switch from nice to rotten just to quick. We try to start when it's 28 or so getting the marginal ground(wet). small pieces, far away pieces etc. saving the easiest and fastest to get for last. That way the drying bill will not be to large and we can get done in time for the boss to start christmas shopping. That after all is what the schedule around here revolves around. "grandkids" | |
