Galahad, Alberta | Congrats on the yeilds! If we break 40 on canola, we think that we are blessed. I had 5070 canola in 2005 and 2006 run about 49, the 9590 did about 37 with a lot of hail on the swaths last year, and this year my 5440 ran about 33. 5 weeks with no rain from July 8 into August just did it in. Funny thing though, last year we went over 4 weeks with no rain, from the 28th of june on into july, and the canola yeilded much better, while the cereals were the reverse. My barley and wheat did pretty good this year, while last year the wheat had midge and the barley was poor in yeild. Some things just don't make sense.
