Yes! I have tried it and it was an absolute joke. The concept is good but it just doens't work (at least for me) biggest problem I had was the fertlizer would land on the soil that the covering disk is throwing on the seed and then the press wheel would start to ball up. This was on a CIH planter so I can't comment on a JD or others.
