Subject: RE: Sinkholes

Since I notill everthing now I am seeing more sinkholes. Mostly they are "30 gallon drum size" but a couple of years ago I "found" a 6 foot wide by 9 foot deep one with the combine. I was cutting beans late in the day with the sun in my face in very dusty conditions and I wound up with the rear wheel in the hole. The hopper was full of beans. I had to get a crane to lift me out. I felt blessed that I didn't break anything. Mine are not from old tiles breaking. We have a lot of limestone under our soil so I think that has something to with it.
