IA | Who here has a successful sideline business and what are you doing/selling? I love farming but it is so difficult to grow a farm to try and make more money with rent being the way it is. There is only maybe one farm come up for rent a year and it always brings way to much. I am farming full time now but do have some extra time in winter and summer. Kinda looked at the trucking option, already have a truck and trailer but everyone says there isnt any money in it. Im thinking about talking to a friend of mine that sells seed(he is an employee of a coop) to see if he would want to start up a company selling seed and chemicals. He has alot more contacts than i but i think i have more capital for infrastructure. etc. Dont know how we would work it out so its fair. Any other ideas? Would like to keep it ag related. Any thought would be great. thanks | |
