south central IOWA | It's not hard to figure out that it's easier for a large frame calf to add weight easier. Doesn't necessarily mean he'll be a late bloomer because of his own fault. I'm with you on the early growth. That's what I'm after too. I like the moderate framed cow with a bigger frame bull for my cow/calf operation. I wonder if that is working for you this year with the bigger calves you are talking about and the way you describe T21. It'll be interesting for you next year with your smaller framed bull. Might turn out not all the cows will be able to produce the weight. | |
