Subject: RE: polled hereford vs horned

Columbia City, Indiana
A while back on here there was a thread on the ideal cross, and Roy@Ranch said it was a horned Hereford bull on an Angus cow. When I asked why horned instead of polled, he said "Because when they bred the horns off the Herefords, they bred the @$$ off as well." I thought that was pretty funny. I've never been around horned Herefords, but maybe someday I'll try one.
