Devils Lake, ND | No disagreement here. The fed.gov needs to make it easier for nuke plants to be built and drop subsidies for "green energy," Including ethanol and biodiesel. Let the free market pick the winners and losers. I think we all know the outcome.
Nuclear power plants have a huge economy of scale. (You don't build small ones, or ever medium-sized ones) Electricity coming out of them is ungodly cheap. It is good for electricity-hungry industry, like iron recycling and aluminum smelting. It would make electric commuter cars and plug-in hybrids a lot more feasible as well. | |
