I know a few people that are bothered by fluorescents. One in particular gets quite sick and dizzy if she is around them for too long. I don’t know what it is about them but they really mess with her.
My aunt worked in a medical lab, and did okay with the old t12 fluorescents. She had trouble with the t8 and t5 replacements, so asked the building maintenance to keep t12 fixtures in her room for as long as she worked there. She noticed the flicker much worse with those electronic-ballasted t8 and t5 lights, and was getting headaches as a result. |
