My great grandpa and grandpa quit in the late 60s when they started their Allis-Chalmers dealership. My cousin's quit in 1994. Most dairies around here quit in the late 90s and early 2000s. We started shipping milk in the fall of 2022.
Few more guys are talking about getting back into it. 4 dairies left in our county. And 4 or 5 right across the county line from me
Heck with cows tell us about the Allis dealership. Wife’s great aunt and uncle had the Allis dealership for a stint in town. We run a few Allis’s but no connection to her family being a dealer. |
