In your shoes I think I’d set up the earlage chopper on duals and narrower rear tires so it doesn’t run over the stalk rows, and put the rotary silage head on the second chopper running right behind it, before trucks have a chance to run over stuff. Opening would be messy, but once things got rolling you should be able to get a lot of fodder picked up with almost no dirt.
