Subject: drying sunflowers with aeration - adding heat?

Rivers, MB
Anyone have experience drying down sunflowers with good aeration in late Oct. or by adding supplemental heat to the aeration fan. Our sunflowers are testing 18.7% today. Last 2 years, have started harvest around 14-15% and have aired them down from there. Could I add some heat with a diesel heater to the air outside the fan to simulate a nice Sept. day. If I brought the air temp up to 25 deg. C (75-80 F), that should drop the relative humidity of the air and cause some good drying. I'm worried though, that 18% sunflowers will heat before the drying front will go through. I have lots of CFM's. Should I have more patience or get started. Anyone in MB or northern states have experience with this?
Thanks in advance.
