Decaturville TN | I was hoping some of you could help me by posting harvesting and hauling rates in your area. I sometimes help a neighbor out and never really know what to charge him as hardly anyone does this in my area. I run a 1660 with 6 row corn header, 22.5' soybean header, have a 750 bu truck, and the haul is usually under 3 or 4 miles to his bins on the farm. Fields here are fairly small with quite a bit of dropping the bean head to move down the road. Last year I cut and hauled several acres of 35 bu soybeans for him for $35.00 per acre. That might seem a little high but some of the fields were rough (driftwood in them-broke my grain head auger shaft on a chunk of wood I didn't see, lots of green cheat-hard to cut through, etc.) Please give size of equipment for rates given. This might should have been put in machinery talk. Please forgive me. Thanks for the help and have a wonderful harvest. Rick | |
