Macoupin county Illinois | i was at a cattle sale today, they're having a big special sale saturday so the sale today had only a few odd lots of 1 and 2 hd selling, about 125 head until the end . with only 5 or 6 people still on the seats they ran 59 940 lb. steers and 21 950 lb heifers thru, sold the steers and heifers together although they had been weighed separately. all good black very fleshy cattle , no announcement of who the owner was, no prir advertising, the barn owner bought them at 1.10 per lb. They didn't mention the 80 head of cattle until they started coming in the ring. . the price wasn't too far out of line as the cattle were very fleshy . any opinions on what was going on?
