One of our dogs tested positive for Heartworm. She was retested and tested positive again. The vet offered a host of treatments. Some very expensive and some lower cost. Of course the vet is all about the expensive route. The dog was a rescue, she’s an awesome companion to us and our other dog. I’m inclined to do whatever treatment options keep her at home and don’t disrupt her life. When it’s her time it’s her time. 
 Anyone have experience with this situation ? Any advice ?
