West-Central Missouri | Just finished harvesting corn yesterday. I need to set basis on about 3 more loads corn to finish cleaning out a bin for soybeans harvest.
Currently basis is +$.95 ZCZ22 for nearby FOB. That is as high as it has been since rolling from Sep to Dec for the futures month at the end of August.
Where do you see basis going particularly here in west central missouri.
Generally corn goes south to NW Ark. or NE Oklahoma for chickens.
Where will corn come from to supply West Kansas this year? How far will basis be affected by their short crop?
