North Central Illinois | Just a few pics from today's adventures. That's 3.5" between the wing tips of the sweeps. Looks kinda rough behind the tractor at times, but in a week I'll probably be wishing I'd knocked a few more weeds out.
Mostly velvet leaf, but the cool spring has common ragweed still coming up in June which is quite unusual. No till in the rye was planted a few days earlier.
I got carried away and put up some pictures from a few days ago too. I run the sweeps 5.5-6" apart in corn since root pruning is a bigger concern there.
Sunflowers look good.
A little patch of rye that I planted beans in around the first of May. Looks like I'll be able to take the rye off without cutting the tops off of the beans.
