North Central Illinois | Yeah, at this point just gotta roll with it.
As is often said on here. There are one or two days every spring that are the wrong day to plant. Usually not to be known until several weeks later.
That week was bad. Two pounding ~1" rains a few days apart before emergence was rough. Planting the week before had good stands though. Sunflowers planted May 13 and corn planted the 10th-12th came up great. I planted some sunflowers on May 17 and wanted to replant them. By the time replant seed shipped and the field was fit again it was mid June so I decided it was better to just keep what I had.
