Subject: Re: Old farmer sayings or poems

Oklahoma
I have seen Baxter several times. The last time was in college he came and did an event and signed books. Very personal to visit with and laid back. First time I saw him though was at a Cowboy Poetry Gathering at the National Cowboy Hall of Fame in OKC. Saw two other guys that were pretty good. Kurt Brummett and Wadie Mitchell. Kurt was a true cowboy out of TX and NM that was more of a story teller. Wadie was out of Elko, NV and a true cowboy poet, maybe not as funny but real good. Between all three of those guys, it was a good time and lots of laughs.

Don't want to highjack a thread. I don't know the combine saying. Only one I know is when doing prescribed burns and things are going good, it never fails, someone sees a big cedar tree go up and yells "Burn baby Burn", even the first time help. If it is out of control you never hear it.
