Subject: 4440 steering problem

Bloomfield, KY.
I recently had to replace the hose that goes from the steering pump in the cab, down through the cab floor, and connects to a line on the left side of the transmission.

Now the steering is "unsmooth"(a Keystone Light moment?). When you turn the wheel from lock to lock, there are a couple of places where it seems to hang.

What have I done to cause this, and what do I do to correct it?

TIA
