| I honestly think if you are planting in ideal conditions and you have your planter set reasonably there is probably not much yield to be gained there. On the other hand planting in the mud we had to last year, there might have been days when it would be huge. A couple bushels per acre would pay for it easily but I don't know how to get that close of a measurement from yield maps. I do know that my planter is working more consistently across different soil types and tillage systems without me having to jump out of the cab and mess with it. I am open to ideas while I still have time to experiment with it this year! | |
