Western WI | Started planting with our new to us planter and have a couple of questions. This is a 16 row with variable seed rate and liquid. Seedstar is being used. I havent hooked up a radar yet and am assuming that when i type in manual it is running speed off of the wheel....however I had to also put in speed for manual at 5 mph. Is it detecting speed from the wheel and calibrating to different speeds or is it always assuming I am running 5 mph and overpopulating at slower speeds?
Also I notice that everytime i raise the planter on the ends I lose all vacuum on the monitor.....Is this normal? Does it then drop all seed off the plate just like when you initially start so it takes 10 feet to start planting? (I hope not!) Thanks! | |
