Subject: Deere 7000 12 row wheel bearings

Downtown Shell Knob MO Come Visit!
I have a 7000 jd planter and had a wheel bearing go out on one of the wings last night, and when I got it apart this moring, it was completly dry, so now Im worried about all my other wheels. And the owners manual doesnt mention lubing the wheel bearings at all.
Does anyone have any tips on packing the bearings??? I hate to pull all six wheels off and take them complety apart just to find that they are full of grease or hub oil.

Has anyone ever drilled holes in the hubs and installed grease zerks?
Why in the heck did Jd not put zerks or a plug in them in the first place?
I would do it in a heartbeat but I guess now im worried if I drill the hub if it might increase the hubs chance of cracking.
